Kanyon Vs. Gohan: Part Two
----------------------
Before Gohan could land the attack, Kanyon's arm shot upwards and as a result also pushing his own arm upward, deflecting his attack up into the sky. Gohan snapped his eyes towards Kanyon, sucking in a breath as he saw the fist hurling towards his stomach. However, before he could even squeeze his eyes shut, the attack halted. He blinked a couple of times before Kanyon splayed his fingers open and used the force of his ki to send Gohan backwards.
Using the power of his own ki, Gohan gritted his teeth and flew away from the older Saiyajin and then shot upwards above Kanyon. He stopped himself in mid air and tensed his muscles as he gathered golden energy into the palm of his hands, glowing and crackling in his grip. He brought his hand back and then threw it straight towards Kanyon. In a split second he gathered energy for a second attack and sent it right after his first one.
The demi-Saiyajin watched expectantly as Kanyon brought his arms upward and opened his hands, catching the first attack directly in his palms. His eyes widened slightly as Kanyon shimmered out of view just as the second blast went sailing right through his translucent form.
Gohan looked around for Kanyon, trying to anticipate where he would appear next. But in a matter of a second, the other Saiyajin appeared right in front of him, causing him to jump back a little in surprise. He moved too quickly to keep up with! Looking down a little he saw that his ki attack was still held firmly in Kanyon's grasp and he narrowed his eyes slightly.
"Lost something," Kanyon said to him, at the same time swinging his arm downward and releasing the attack directly at Gohan, then disappearing from sight after he did so. As that energy ball sailed at him, the demi-Saiyajin reached out and grabbed it out of the air, squeezing it hard until it vanished with a puff. However, he did not have time to dwell or plan his next movement when he suddenly sensed another large amount of energy.
He turned his attention downward and his heart stopped for a brief moment as a bright ki blast, even bigger than he was, flew right for him. Kanyon must have released it when he was dealing with the first attack.
Not taking a moment to even think thoroughly, Gohan extended his arms, bringing his hands out in front of him as he braced his body in mid-air. Gritting his teeth, he pulled up a large amount of energy from within his body, which suddenly expelled from his extended hands.
The surrounding area around them suddenly exploded with bright, golden light as the two attacks collided head on. Gohan growled low and lashed his tail behind him as his frame shook slightly, forcing even more power into his side of the collision, therefore causing the attack to start moving back towards its originator. Steadying his body, he narrowed his green eyes in concentration.
Down below, Kanyon kept up his side of the attack with one hand, his eyes staring at Gohan through the attacks with what one could assume was curiosity, as indicated by a slight quirking of his brow. That white aura remained around Kanyon, unwavering and constant. Not a sign or hint of fatigue thus far. As they kept up the collision of power, the ground beneath began to crack and shatter from the raw energy. The earth itself seemed to shake.
As Kanyon continued to stare at the demi, he finally brought his other hand up to join the assault against Gohan's blast. The energy suddenly increased in size with the additional input from Kanyon's end, and even then the older Saiyajin seemed to show no signs of exertion. Gohan, on the other hand, was already starting to feel some of the effects of unleashing so much energy at once.
Kanyon suddenly grinned just then and Gohan's ki washed over his form, completely immersing the man. And then suddenly there was a loud explosion as the beam made impact with a mountain behind the other Saiyajin.
The ground shook and debris went flying everywhere; rock, dirt, everything it seemed mixed with the hot air, swirling around the demi like a dust storm as the earth shattered even further. Bringing an arm up to protect his face from the debris, Gohan vaguely wondered how much more of this area could take of their assaults. Soon there might not be anything left to stand on at this rate.
When everything began to settle and silence overcame the battlegrounds, Gohan lowered his arm from his face, searching around for Kanyon, eyes scanning the area carefully. However, he did not have long to look before he was suddenly caught off guard by an elbow slamming into the back of his neck and he lurched forward, letting out a slight gasp despite the pain that exploded through his body. Before he could be forced away though, another hand slapped against his neck and latched onto it, keeping him in place. Then suddenly he was being spun around and before he could attempt to free himself from the hold, Gohan was hurled downwards towards the previously destroyed mountain.
He was barely able to stop his descent, considering the force at which he had been thrown, but just before he was about to crash into the ground, his aura exploded around him and he stopped just above the earth, his arms snapping out as his hands pressed into the ground. His legs kicked back and he performed a handspring, spinning back into the air, his breath coming out in heavy bursts as he flew back into the sky again.
When he spotted Kanyon, he dashed towards him, looking as if he was going to make a head on attack. But just before he got too close, he fazed from sight and then reappeared behind the other Saiyajin, already in the process of spinning around and then connecting his foot with the side of his face.
Kanyon's face was pushed to the side by the kick, but his eyes remained open, still staring at Gohan as he pushed the foot back by a slow turn of his head. That action alone sent a small chill through the demi's spine. A full force kick had barely done a scratch of damage! At this time, a hand came up and grabbed his ankle and jerked the foot off Kanyon's cheek as he grinned at Gohan slightly.
"That was impressive." A thin line of blood slowly trailed from the corner of Kanyon's lip, which he spat to the side, his hand still holding onto Gohan's ankle, holding the leg up in the air.
"We're done here, Son Gohan," Kanyon said before he slammed his other fist into the side of Gohan's leg. The force itself was not enough to break any bones completely but Gohan's eyes widened and his pupils shrank when he heard a crack as a result and then felt a ripple of searing pain through the limb. His breath left his lungs as he was spun around once again and launched back down towards the ground, his eyes closing as he hurled through the air. He didn't stop himself this time as he crashed into the earth, his body sliding through the rubble, rock and dirt tumbling around him as a dent formed around him as a result of the impact.
